Gerald with Fochriw and Phillipstown Primary Schools' Heddlu Bach during their visit to Parliament

As the MP for Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney, I’ve been able to welcome pupils from schools from across our area to Parliament, on visits organised through the Parliamentary Education Service.

They offer a variety of types of visits for pupils, such as a tour and a workshop or a tour and a film, and also offer a 50% transport subsidy to help with schools’ travel costs to and from London; I also make a personal contribution to the cost.

How to visit

Visits are in term time, and applications for each term close around three months before the start of the term, although short notice bookings are also available. To book a visit or to find out more, call: 0207 219 4496 or email: engage@parliament.uk.

Although all phsyical visits to and tours of Parliament currently remain unavailable due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, virtual school tours and events are still available for booking, via the contact details above.
