Since yesterday’s unexpected announcement to Sales and Office staff at Hoover Candy in Pentrebach, I and my colleague Dawn Bowden AM have been trying to make contact with the management at the site; sadly, we have been unable to contact them. We will keep trying. We have now written to the management at Hoover asking to meet to discuss their announcement.

We have also been liaising with Unite the Union and GMB to offer support to them and the staff that they represent.

This is a worrying time for all the sales and office staff remaining at the site, and we will offer whatever support we can. We understand that the distribution staff are not affected at this time.
