Have your say: cancel the cut to Universal Credit
As the coronavirus pandemic goes on, more and more families across our area and the country are struggling to make ends meet. Today, millions across the UK are relying on Universal Credit just to get by, including as many as 6,750 households in Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney constituency.
But now the Government’s planning to cut that lifeline – taking £20 per week or £1,000 per year away from those who need it most.
This is heartless at any time, but during the middle of a pandemic it’s downright cruel.
If you oppose the cut to Universal Credit too, please fill in your details below and I’ll keep you updated on developments.
