In April, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney MP Gerald Jones welcomed local constituent Jennifer Owens alongside representatives from Irlen® Syndrome to the Palace of Westminster to raise awareness of Irlen® Syndrome.
t is the second such awareness that Jennifer has been involved with in recent months, she also held a similar event with Dawn Bowden AM in the Senedd back in October to highlight the condition there.
Jennifer was pleased to meet MP’s to raise awareness of Irlen® Syndrome
“I was very grateful for the opportunity to meet MPs and raise awareness about Irlen® syndrome and talk about some of the issues we face on a daily basis. I gave a speech about some of my experiences of living with Irlen® syndrome and the impact the condition can have on everyday life.”
Gerald was happy to host the event and discuss Irlen® Syndrome with Jennifer and other MPs.
“I was really pleased to welcome Jennifer and the representatives from the Irlen® Syndrome to parliament last week. I know that Jennifer has been working hard to raise awareness of the condition, and I was happy to host her event today.”
