Harriet Baldwin (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Ministry of Defence): The Army has currently provisioned around £9 million for the assessment phase of the Mechanised Infantry Vehicle program, the conclusion of which will determine the full cost. Information relating to the funding of the vehicle prior to contract would not be commercially beneficial to release.
